The answer first

Home solar has no single price for every property. Compare equivalent capacity and scope. The calculator’s THB 150,000 default is an example assumption, not a market price or quote. Obtain site-specific quotes and compare their totals as separate plans.

Why quotes differ

Ask for panel kWp and inverter kW separately, with model numbers and scope. For batteries, request usable kWh and output kW. A price-per-kW comparison alone is misleading when one quote includes storage and the other does not.

  • Are mounting, switchboard work, wiring, protection and waterproofing included?
  • Are VAT, scaffolding, application work and monitoring setup included?
  • Who pays service labour, removal/reinstallation and warranty shipping?

Use price to compare, not to guarantee savings

Create one plan per quotation with the same home energy and usage times. Change system size, total cost, maintenance and equipment life. Compare net outcomes and any debt remaining at the end of the horizon.

What to prepare

Prepare 12 months of bills, air-conditioning or EV-charging times, roof condition and available area. State whether you need bill savings or outage backup, as these impose different requirements. If no bill is available, start with the appliance schedule in the calculator.
